As a child, Genevieve Serrat spent her time in a French florist’s shop that helped her see gardens as vibrant palettes. She embraced flowers as her destiny, eventually earned a job there, and shared her passion with clients who took home soft bundles of color, gifts from the sun. So enamored were the owners of the shop where Genevieve labored, they willed it to their devotee, who, in 1857, christened it “Le Jardin du Soleil” or, “Garden of the Sun.” More than a century later, her loving legacy thrives as the centerpiece of this Moment In Time clock that once graced the gardens where Genevieve worked.
