Vienna regulators have always been the standard by which all wall clocks have been measured. The weight driven mechanism allows the clock to be more accurate than a simple spring wound mechanism. Long cases leave room for long chime rods which have a deeper resonance than elegant pices in the Biedermeier style as well as stronger, more muscular pieces of equal beauty.
