The Grandfather Clocks on this site are normally shipped from the manufacturer our stores, or our partner stores (over 200). If the Grandfather Clock is made in the USA it generally takes 48 hours from time of order to ship from the factory and 5-10 business days to arrive to you. If the Grandfather Clock is made outside the US, shipping times varies.
Smaller Clocks are usually shipped by USPS, UPS, DHL or Fed Ex.
- Grandfather Clocks from Howard Miller usually ship within 2 business days. Hentschel products normally ship in two weeks. You can pay in full, 10 %, 25%, or 50% down when the item is ordered and remainder charged when your clock has shipped.
- Our designated delivery company will contact you 1-2 days prior to delivery.
- All Grandfather Clocks include a 2 year limited warranty. Preowned (and some of the retired) items normally do not have a warranty. But we do have the clocks serviced before shipment.
- We do not charge you sales tax unless you live in Missouri.
- Easy set up instructions will be provided with your grandfather clock. We are also available to assist you with any setup questions. The Howard Miller Grandfather clocks comes with a setup video tape.
SHIPPING INFORMATION FOR LARGE ITEMS
This information is specifically for customers receiving large items arriving by truck (LTL carrier): We have arranged a prepaid residential delivery with notification. The trucking company will call you 1-2 days in advance to make delivery arrangements. You can also call them to make delivery arrangements. If you call the trucking company, they will ask you for your pro number or tracking
A residential delivery means that the trucking company will bring the item inside to the main level (not up or downstairs). This is considered a driver assist delivery. You may have to assist your driver. Please inspect the package thoroughly and have the driver note any damage to the carton. If the package appears damaged have
the truck driver wait while you open the package and look for any
damage. If the item is damaged, have the driver make a note and call
us. We will then determine if you should accept the shipment or refuse
it. Just remember to inspect before you accept. Don't worry if you found something after the truck driver is gone. Give us a call as
soon as possible and we will take care of everything. If a product
is received and it is damaged during shipping or defective, the product
will be replaced or repaired depending on the findings of the claim.
A carrier, Home Direct or ABF, will be contacting you for delivery for your Grandfather Clock. Your shipping and handling to a residence is with inside placement and 2 flights of stairs. Debris removal is not included. UPS, Fed Ex, or DHL Express will deliver all other clocks. Additional delivery services are available upon request.
Please be sure to inspect the merchandise upon delivery and note any damage with the driver before he leaves your home. Noting damage or defects is your responsibility at time of delivery. We cannot file a claim for damage unless it was noted at time of delivery on the the delivery receipt. If damage is noted, please retain the original packaging and call us immediatley at 816-431-0365.
Refused or returned shipments not accepted
by the customer or without a return authorization are subject to a 17% restocking fee plus the cost of the shipping to the customer and return shipping from the customer (this will be the actual shipping costs not necessarily the billed shipping costs).There is non-refundable 10% deposit fee that will be charged.(You will read our terms of service on your checkout page.) If a clock is returned to the manufacturer there may be additional restocking fees.
Customers must notify us for return authorization of any product at 816-431-0365
before returning any item. Returned items must be received within 2 weeks of original delivery date.
We do NOT
accept returns on International orders (import or export) or Special Orders (which includes Treasure Hunt or Retired) items. Grandfather Clock, Floor Clock, Curio Cabinet, Furniture and Large Items Delivery
These items normally ships 1 to 3 business days or 3 to 5 business days*.
Most items will ship via reliable trucking freight company. They will carefully transport your clock. Normally, it will take approximately 1 week or more for delivery depending on customer shipping address. Once the item has arrived within proximity of local area, the trucking company will call you to arrange the delivery time that fits your schedule.
It is the customers responsibility to open the box and carefully inspect the item upon arrival, before signing the Bill of Lading (Delivery Form) and before the freight carrier leaves.
Grandfather clock, large floor clock, large curio cabinet or some large items will ship via a special trucking company. They will carefully transport your item. If any visible damage is observed you should choose one of the following:
(a) (if minor damage) carefully make detailed notes of all the damage on the Bill of Lading or
(b) You should not refuse shipment until contacting us first. Please do NOT discard the original packaging. Immediately (within same business day or next business day) call us at 816-431-0365. Customer Service will guide you through the steps of resolving the problem. It is critical that these steps be followed, or it will be customer's responsibilities to resolve any issues.
We will help you with the claims process. Sometimes this process can take some time due to all of the documentation that the LTL carriers require. When the claim is settled and we receive reimbursement, we will have the item repaired or replaced.
We cannot ship replacement merchandise until any such claim has been settled, unless the customer agrees to be debited again for replacement items and further agrees to be bound by any decision for reimbursement by the designated freight company. Additional shipping or freight charges are the responsibility of the customer unless allowed by the designated freight company.
If the claim is denied, the item will not be replaced or repaired. Normally denied claims are do to the consignee signing that the item was not damaged when received or discarding the packaging. If the Customer signs for the product in good condition and does not note any damage, only replacement parts can be purchased at the customer's expense. It is the customer's responsibility to install any replacement parts.
Upon the news of the claim denial, if the customer was credited during the claims process, they will be charged for the item. The damaged product is the customer's responsibility and property.
* We do not guarantee any ship date or delivery date.
**Please do not refuse the shipment unless the clock or item is damaged. Or you will be charged for a refused shipment fee 20% of invoice total plus all shipping charges.
